IEC 61850 IED Relay Adapter
Kalkitech
announces the release of the IEC 61850 Adapters for Relays, IED's and other
devices. This small adapter can be configured to take power from your RS 232
or 485 Signal Lines or through and external adapter, and convert your
proprietary or standard protocol into IEC 61850.
The product enables all legacy devices to
support IEC 61850 and sit on the IEC 61850 Ethernet networks within
substations or in Industrial automation networks. The wide range of
protocols support by Kalkitech products as well as the transparent channel
for device configuration enable legacy and end of life products as well as
lower end products to be easily extend their life to the new IEC 61850
technology applications.

DLMS/COSEM OPC Server Version 1.0
Kalkitech
announces the release of the DLMS OPC Server with DA 3.0 Support with
multi-channel and multi-device capabilities. On the OPC side the product is
conformant to the latest version of OPC (V3.0), supporting intuitive
features like structured/flat browsing hierarchies, configurable grouping of
data for different scan rates, demand-scanning etc. On the DLMS side, the
client driver provides a with exhaustive DLMS COSEM support.
The in-built
client driver supports the COSEM/HDLC profile for serial/optical channels
(with Mode E switchover included), with the latest set of Interface Classes
and Conformance block services that are provided with the SCL version.
This product is
an ideal fit for requirements of meter-reading applications in the AMR/AMI
space providing out-of-the-box connectivity for DLMS meters and devices, and
universally accepted OPC interfaces to the meter data. A fully-functional

Kalkitech announces the release of SCL Manager 3.6.0
Kalkitech
releases IEC 61850 SCL Manager 3.6.0, the new and improved version that
supports Substation Configuration with enhanced drawing facilities for
Single line Diagram representation with IEC 61850 Objects and Sub-station
devices, and multiple ICD file handling.
Kalki SCLManager is a comprehensive graphical tool that allows user to
create configure, view and edit all the substation elements and its data
models as specified in substation configuration language specification of
IEC 61850. SCL Manager enable users to configure a 61850 Substation and all
its elements and make your substations IEC 61850 compliant. Configuration
involves the system specification which include the SLD drawing and adding
the functionalities to each devices in substation, and then substation
configuration which include importing ICD/CID files of various IED's present
and linking the functionalities of the IED to the substation elements.
The new
features include advanced user functions like "Map External Signals” and "
LNode Linking” help to create complete substation configuration from
available ICD/SCD files. Also added is Substation and IED data model tags
can be generated using "Generate MMS Tag" functionality which will be useful
for SCADA or any IEC 61850 Client applications. The software also enable the
user to validate any external or working SCL file, and log the validation
results using the "Validate file" option. "Private data modeling" feature
helps users to support object models not specified within the current
standard.
SCL Manager
completely removes the complexity of engineering and configuring the IEC
61850 Substation architecture and devices away from the user and gives the
user friendly graphical interface for configuration and substation
architecture definition. It allow users to build different substation
architectures, configure the various elements and create the Substation
Configuration Description (.SCD) XML file, System Specification Description
(.SSD) XML file and IED Capability Description (.ICD) XML file without
having to know the XML representation as given in the standard. It also
allows user to use the inbuilt logical node templates to create complete
data model with very minimal reference to IEC 61850-7-3 & 7-4 standards.

Kalki releases SCL Manager 3.2.0, the new and improved version that supports Substation Configuration, Multiple ICD Support, IEC 61850 Client Support and Tabular and Single Line Diagram representation of IEC 61850 Objects and Sub-station devices.
Kalki SCL Manager is a comprehensive graphical tool that allows user to create, configure, view, edit all the substation elements and its data models as specified in Substation Configuration Language specification of IEC 61850. SCL Manager enable users to configure a 61850 Substation and all its elements and make your substations IEC 61850 compliant.

Kalki announces support for Object Model's for Wind Power as per IEC 61400-25 in Kalki Gateways and Configuration Software
Kalki releases New Gateway Software that Support Wind Object Model's as per IEC 61400-25-2, along with IEC 61850 Object Model's. It also provides for mapping to MMS for the Wind Object Model's. The new feature enables customers to link their various Wind Asset's on the Kalki gateway utilizing the new standard.
Kalki gateways can also be used to transfer Wind Data objects to any other protocol, like DNP3, IEC 104 etc., The Web Services interfaces will be released soon by Kalki. The features that are being supported include:

- Kalki announces the release of CANOpen Gateway for its protocol gateway products family
KSGL or Kalki Substation Gateway family of products has been enhanced with a new product model addition CANOpen Gateway Version. The Kalki CANOpen Gateway is ideal for connecting existing or new CANOpen devices to the Kalki Gateway and then use for control and monitoring functions over IEC 61850, IEC 104, IEC 101, DNP3 and the various other protocols supported by Kalki Gateway.
The CANOpen is an open family that provides speeds of 1 Mbps bandwidth on the CAN interface, and one can connect maximum 255 devices on the bus. This provides for very fast data acquisition and an open interface for device connectivity. CANOpen supported IO devices are readily available in the market from many vendors and are priced very good for automation requirements, compared to integrated controller with IO's.
This product provides a suitable open platform for system integrators and OEM's to connect off-the shelf IO's to a protocol gateway and provide integrated solutions to customers. One is no longer dependent on the controller and IO's from the same vendor for your IO requirements as well as controller requirements. The Kalki Gateway can be easily configured to support remote as well as local LAN communication capabilities, and can be connected to the local HMI on any of the supported protocols or OPC.
Currently the protocols supported include IEC 61850 Client and Server, DNP3 Master / Slave, DNP3 TCP Master/Slave, IEC 60870-5-101 Master/Slave, IEC 60870-5-104 Master/Slave, IEC 60870-5-103 Master / Slave, Modbus RTU Master/Slave, Modbus TCP Master/Slave, ICCP Client/Server, SPA Master, Courier Master and many more. The future support include IEC 61400-25 for Wind Energy Applications.
