SYNC 600 Series: Meter Interface Cards
Kalkitech's SYNC 600 series consists of Meter Interface Cards (MIC) that can be plugged into Energy meters to enhance the communication capabilities of the meters. The device acts as a data converter for last-mile connectivity for Energy Meters and also as a data concentrator for sub-metering devices such as water and gas meters. Meter Interface Cards can also be customized based on the requirements for the meter.
SYNC 600 series of interface cards are ideal for upgrading existing meter design and platforms which does not currently support advanced communications and protocols, without the high R&D expenses and certifications costs. SYNC 600 enable meter manufacturers the fastest mode of go-to-market in the ever expanding AMR/ AMI metering space.
With support for various communication protocols like Zigbee / Low power RF, PRIME PLC and GSM / GPRS as well as built-in advanced metering protocols like DLMS/ COSEM, M-bus and ANSI C12*, SYNC 600 MIC cards can seamlessly fit in a wide range of AMR/AMI requirements across the world. Hence, the meter manufacturer can concentrate on a base metrology module, while Kalkitech provide the communication adaptor that can be attached to this base module, which is specific to the regional requirements.

SYNC 600 is available in three different models, varying on the communication supported from meter to DCU:
- SYNC 611: GPRS/EDGE/3G/CDMA, RS485
- SYNC 621: Zigbee / low power RF, RS485
- SYNC 631: PRIME PLC, RS485
